The Democrats are really sensitive to criticism. And, Harry Reid is really sensitive. He can dish it out to Republicans. But, when a Las Vegas Newspaper holds an opposing view, Harry get really upset. Shame on Harry.
Harry Reid, perhaps emulating the bullying tactics of an out-of-control Obama administration, has openly wished for the Las Vegas Review-Journal to ‘go out of business' - a newspaper which has held opposing political viewpoints with the Senator.
Sen McCain is at it again. He is whacking Republicans. He is the most prominent Republican in name only (RINO) in America. Congratulations Sen McCain. You have joined Gen Colin Powell in moving to the Democratic Party.
In a strong pushback against claims made by former Vice President Dick Cheney, Sen. John McCain insisted on Sunday that the use of torture on terrorism suspects violated international law, didn't work, and actually helped al Qaeda recruit additional members.
"I think the interrogations were in violation of the Geneva Conventions and the convention against torture that we ratified under President Reagan," said the Arizona Republican.

Are Americans fed up with the current batch of scalawags in Washington. It appears they are. A new poll suggests that Americans are tired of waiting for a better tomorrow. This ought to make 2010 election cycle quite interesting.
If they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, just 25% of voters nationwide would keep the current batch of legislators.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again. Eighteen percent (18%) are not sure how they would vote.
Dan Rather and his cronies at CBS should have acted more ethically with regard to reporting on President Bush. However, do not expect the mainstream media to be ethically. They have lost their soul a long time ago. Shame on CBS.
Yet Another Liberal Lie Demolished: That George W. Bush tried to avoid serving in Vietnam.
On Tuesday, FNC's The O'Reilly Factor hosted FNC analyst Bernard Goldberg as the former CBS News correspondent highlighted a story recently posted on his Web site, BernardGoldberg.com, in which he complains of how little mainstream media attention was given to the fact that former President George W. Bush had volunteered to go to Vietnam as part of his service in the Texas Air National Guard.
But, he was turned down because other pilots were more experienced, and that CBS News producer Mary Mapes, even though she knew this part of the story before the report aired, did not include this important angle in the infamous piece by Dan Rather that used forged documents to paint Bush as trying to avoid Vietnam War service.
Surrender of Japan, Tokyo Bay, 2 September 1945
General MacArthur was a great American. His life was dedicated to America. He will be remembered as a faithful and patriotic man during a time when leaders were honorable. Shame on Washington for devaluing our military today. And, the idea of prosecuting soldiers and the CIA for their efforts in fighting terrorism is outrageous. Simply put, in Washington today, integrity is in short supply.
The task of reconstructing Europe after World War II was divvied up among the handful of victorious nations. But in the Pacific, the job of rebuilding Japan fell, effectively, to a single man: U.S. General Douglas MacArthur. It was an exercise without precedent and, more than half a century later, it remains the most successful postwar reconstruction in history.
Despite formidable flaws, MacArthur was a compassionate conqueror, a wise administrator and, more than anyone, the man responsible for setting Japan down the path toward becoming the free, fair and prosperous economic superpower it is today.
Is Washington full of corruption? It seems that our elected politicians continue to violate the very law they expect all of us to obey. What is happening in Washington?
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Charles Rangel failed to report as much as $1.3 million in outside income -- including up to $1 million for a Harlem building sale -- on financial-disclosure forms he filed between 2002 and 2006, according to newly amended records.
The documents also show the embattled chairman of the Ways and Means Committee -- who is being probed by the House Ethics Committee -- failed to reveal a staggering $3 million in various business transactions over the same period.

Can the CIA ever be able to operate effectively. President Obama will surely use his time in the White House to dismantle the CIA, similar to what President Jimmy Carter did in the late 1970's. In the future, I wonder if we will be able to uncover terrorist plots to blow up America? Good question.
Constrained by new rules and hostile lawyers, can the CIA in the future successfully interrogate uncooperative jihadists, like self-described 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who remained as close-mouthed as a clam when questioned without physical coercion? The Obama White House has been enamored of the possibilities of soft power; jihadists, too, are now supposed to yield to the psychological prowess of interrogators who play by the rules of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

President Obama may have the right to pull the plug on the internet. This would seem bazarre a few years ago, but government seizure of power over the last year has led to over-reaching by Washington. Shame on Washington.
A U.S. Senate bill that envisions a government seizure of the Internet – literally disconnecting private sector computers from the Web – during a national “cybersecurity crisis” has sparked alarm among civil libertarians and web companies.
The bill, first obtained and reported on by CNET,.says that the president would be able to declare “a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks and do what's necessary to respond to the threat.
