I wonder if the news media is just being silly in their pursuit of Britney news.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Troubled pop star Britney Spears was in a Los Angeles hospital for the second time in a month on Thursday after being taken from her home in the middle of the night by ambulance and a fleet of police.
Several celebrity media outlets reported that the singer was being held for a mental evaluation. Hospital officials declined to comment, citing patient confidentiality.
News video showed more than a dozen police motorcycles and squad cars entering and leaving Spear's Los Angeles home shortly after midnight on Thursday and taking her to the UCLA Medical Center.
• The Background: California and other states aren't equipped to make fundamental changes to slow rising health-care costs.
• Conclusion: The defeat of California's measure doesn't necessarily damp prospects for national health-care reform.

Rudd, a Mandarin-language speaker who once served as a diplomat in Beijing, would seek a broader engagement with China that goes beyond the booming energy and resources trade at the heart of current Australia-China relations. His avowed goal is to "transform Australia into the most China-literate and Asia-literate economy in the Western community of nations."
This will be a time of change for Australia. Even though these are not major changes, the new administration will surely challenge the way Australians see themselves and the world. Rudd's first official act, on his first day in office, was to sign the instrument of ratification of the Kyoto Protocol.
Plans for an apology to Indigenous Australians for the stolen generation are under way in preparation for the opening of the new parliament, but with no monetary compensation.[45][46] In addition, Rudd declared funding for homeless persons, with the major plank of the policy being $150 million in emergency accommodation.[47] Plans are also under way for the withdrawal of Australian troops from the Iraq War.[48]
It is important to note that a huge increase in immigration will probably follow changes in policy. Time will tell if this will be seen in a positive light. Will new immigration bring about a more integrated community or a more segregated community. This is a good question. Europe is trying to deal with this issue now.
In America, immigration is at an all time high. America is becoming one of the most diverse nations in the world. Most large cities are packed with new immigrants. Fortunately, most immigrants to America want to integrate and become part of a great society. Most want their children to learn English, go to college, get a good job, and have a great life as an American. I wish Australia the best as change begins.
In conclusion, the test of a great society is how well immigration is managed with respect to stability. Promoting growth and innovation within an organized structure of social norms is essential in our global economies. Time will tell.
I have been impressed with FOX News trying to be fair and balanced. The MSM does not even try any more. For years, the MSM, the drive by media as some call it, has been providing commentary and reporting it as news. Good golly, I guess all those great reporters that went to the finest Journalism schools just can't grasp the idea of objective reporting. I had a person tell me once that the story must be true, because it was in the LA Times. My my, what is the world coming to.

Oh well, some people still think that the Dan Rather story bashing Bush
and his military record is true. Dan Rather lost his job reporting a fabricated story.
Rather apologized in September for a "mistake in judgment" in relying on apparently bogus documents for a "60 Minutes Wednesday" report charging that Bush received favorable treatment in the Texas Air National Guard three decades ago. But the apology followed 10 days in which Rather and his network doggedly defended the story despite mounting evidence, some of it assembled by Internet bloggers, that the memos in question could not have been written on an early 1970s government typewriter.
He was
foolish to stand behind the fabrication after it was obvious to
everyone, including his superiors, that the fabrication was indeed a
lie. Was Dan Rather reporting news objectively or just making stuff up
to promote his own views about Bush? I'll report, you decide.

I was a Freshman at small Shafter High when he was elected. He was assassinated when I was at small Delano High. I have my own ideas about who did this and the conspiracy to cover up the real story. This is an overview of the theories.“When Harry Met Sally”, Harry is dating a much younger Sally. At a party someone asks: “Where were you when Kennedy was shot?” and the younger Sally asks: “Ted Kennedy was shot?!”
There exists a plethora of conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. Such theories began to be generated soon after his death and continue to be proposed today. Many of these theories propose a criminal conspiracy involving parties such as the Federal Reserve, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the KGB, the Illuminati, the Mafia, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director J. Edgar Hoover, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, George H. W. Bush, Cuban exile groups opposed to the Castro government and the military and/or government interests of the United States.
The Zapruder film shows the motion of his head—a violent jerk back and to the left. A rifle bullet from the grassy knoll, to President Kennedy's right
front, would have exited the rear of his head. Numerous medical
witnesses, both at Parkland Memorial Hospital
in Dallas and at the Bethesda autopsy said the large wound to the head
was in the "back of the head.
In conclusion, I think there was a conspiracy. The Zapruder film showed the President was shot from the front at least once. Thanks to DA Garrison from New Orleans, the Zapruder film was made public. For some reason, the government did not want that film out. Regardless, anyone who sees that film has to admit that he was shot from the front. I'll report, you decide.ER doctor Charies Crenshaw stated, "along with many of my Parkland colleagues, I believed at the time that President Kennedy had been hit twice from the front."
I'll report, you decide. This is what FOX News says. Regardless, being objective is an essential component of reporting and being a citizen journalist. This is hard to do, but I keep trying to be fair and balanced.

The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, known unofficially as The Warren Commission, was established on November 29, 1963, by Lyndon B. Johnson to investigate the assassination of U.S.President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. It concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the killing of Kennedy. The Commission's findings have since proven extremely controversial, and have been both challenged and reaffirmed. The Commission took its unofficial name—the Warren Commission—from its chairman, Chief Justice of the United States Earl Warren.

Famous Libertarians
Libertarian thoughts have been around for century. It is important to note, the role of government was never intended to become so large that it no longer protects and serves the citizens.
To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical. – Thomas Jefferson
Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. – Ronald Reagan (1986)
The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin. – Mark Twain
A government which robs Peter to pay Paul, can always count on the support of Paul. – George Bernard Shaw.
