Was President Bush and his neo cons in power too long. Maybe. Now, it will take time for new leaders to surface.
Sarah Palin was the only bright spot for the Republicans this year. She has a tremendous following. Many Republicans voted this year because of her. If she had not been on the ticket, McCain and the Republicans would have done more poorly.
The Bush, McCain, Gingrich, Condi Rice, and Colin Powell years are over. It is now time for new leadership in the Republican Party.
Time will tell who will rise to the top.
I predict this for the 2012 election.
1). Sarah Palin will not run for President in 2012. 2). Mitt Romney will run, but will not be successful. 3). Obama will win again in 2012, but it will be close. 4). The economy will continue to correct downward. 5). Obama's inability to correct the economy will result in Republican gains, but he will still win in 2012. 6). ACORN voter fraud will continue to haunt Obama, but the Democrats will stall any investigation of ACORN wrong doing. 7). The MSM will give cover to Obama and his inability to correct the economy and his failures to bring peace to the Middle East. 8). The voters will get tired of hearing that everything wrong in America can be blamed on Bush. 9). In the end, Obama will be remembered as the President who was in charge during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
With concern rising in Minnesota that the state could be without a Senator for the crucial early months of the next Congress, Sen. Amy Klobuchar weighed in with a significant proposal this weekend: seat the unofficial winner until all legal challenges are finalized.
Huffington Post wants Franken seated. In addition, Democrat elites are pushing for Caroline Kennedy to be seated. My goodness, have the Dems gone nuts with these two characters.
The Dems have their nerve criticizing Sarah Palin for having no experience to hold office. Then, the Dems support Franken and Kennedy. These two buffoons should not be in the Senate, but the Democratic Party is becoming Buffoon-Ville.
Well well, this is a fine mess. The Dems have fanned the flames of racism for so long, they are now being bashed by their very own. Bobby Rush, a Black Panther and a product of Chicago race politics, is now bashing the Dem leadership for racism. Gosh, what a time.
Ain't this post-racial period great? Here we have one of the more famous members of the Black Congressional Caucus accusing Senate Democrats of threatening to act like Orville Faubus, George Wallace and perhaps the most iconic of segregationists, Bull Connor.Bobby Rush, the former Black Panther who is now a congressman from Chicago, levelled his accusation on the CBS Early Show this morning in reaction to the letter signed by all 50 Senate Democrats declaring that they would not seat Roland Burris, the African-American that Gov. Rod Blagojevich yesterday named to take Barack Obama's Senate seat.

"You Betcha" was used by Sarah Palin often. Caroline Kennedy uses "You Know". The MSM mocked Sarah Palin for "You Betcha". However, the MSM has not mocked Caroline Kennedy for "You Know".
Will the MSM be as critical toward Caroline Kennedy as they were with Sarah Palin. No. You see Sarah Palin is a conservative and a Republican, while Caroline Kennedy is a liberal and Democrat.
Thus, Sarah will always be mocked by the MSM and Caroline Kennedy will always be praised. Is this a double standard? Yes. But, the MSM is biased and a surrogate for the Democratic Party and will always create a double standard.
The very same media which spent months dismissing former mayor and Gov. Sarah Palin as too inexperienced for national office is now championing a woman whose primary qualification – her only qualification -- is her last name. The very same media which still mock Palin’s folksy "you betcha" or her interview with Katie Couric don’t seem to notice when John Fund reports that in one 30-minute interview on the cable news channel New York One, Caroline Kennedy used the slang "you know" a total of 168 times.

Well well, what a fine mess we have here. Unfortunately for Democratic Party hacks, this mess is their creating. The Democratic Party attacked and demeaned Sarah Palin for not having experience.
Now, one of their very own icons wants to be a Senator with less leadership experience than a manager at your local McDonalds Hamburger stand.
Gov. Palin had repeatedly run for office in the years preceding her walk on to the national stage. She had stood before voters and weathered their often harsh appraisal. She has been repeatedly vetted. And she had a record of government service–a record of leadership that can be weighed (not that it actually was). And finally Gov. Palin worked for it every step of the way; she was not waiting around to be crowned.
