Sen. McCain in need of a health care plan
I have the most humble respect for Sen McCain and his service to America. And, I think he is a good American Senator. This being said, Sen McCain just cannot help himself sometimes. He does not have an effective health care plan. His idea of tax credits is too little too late. Sen. McCain should take a look at Gov. Schwarzenegger's plan for California. Even though Arnold's plan was rejected by the California state legislature, it is a good working model.
In short, I suggest mandating a HMO type of plan for most employees by providing Federal and State tax support for employers with more than 10 employees. This may seem too socialistic, but we need to think out of the box here. The same old way of providing health care for employees needs to be reevaluated.

John McCain spent much of last week emphasizing how he's a different kind of Republican. This week, he focuses on his plans for health care, which are more aligned with President Bush and other Republicans.
McCain, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, wants everyone to get a tax credit to either buy insurance or offset the taxes on health care coverage obtained through work. The Arizona senator says variety and competition will help bring down costs. Bush has a similar tactic, offering tax deductions for health care costs.
