It seems to have gone very well for the President and First Lady, with the only slip-up being Mme Sarkozy wanting to follow her husband to inspect the guard. HM the Queen was very discreet and managed to hold her back and have her go with HH the Duke of Edinburgh. So tiny, almost no one saw it. Then, M. Sarkozy’s speech was very patriotic and stirring—really had the two Houses applauding. Nice photo there, Timothy.
