Mr. Obama and his faith
Mr. Obama's campaign managers have taken tremendous pains to address his Christian faith. Research suggests that he attended schools in Indonesia that gave instruction in Islam religion. In addition, it appears that Mr. Obama also attended Catholic school. He claims to be a Christian, so I assume that he is.
This is not an important point. However, people from Mr. Obama's past have come forward to suggest that he was heavily school in Islam and practiced it openly. Who do we believe? I am not quite sure. To be fair, if Mr. Obama's states he is a Christian, I will take this at face value.
On the other hand, it is a documented fact that Mr. Obama is a member of a racist church in which Islam potentate Farrakhan is held up as an iconic figure. Therefore, Mr. Obama must feel somewhat drawn to Islam. In conclusion, it would be advisable for Mr. Obama to leave Trinity United Church of Christ and find one that is inclusive, Christ centered, and not tied to Farrakhan.
