Is Sunday School obsolete?

Comments

[this is good]
Some churches would rather take the kids on expensive trips, have rock concerts and make sure the kids have their own decorated space to jam, watch videos etc. To be honest, and I have said this before . . . Gospel lite is diluting the message, it's so watered down that Christianity have become ridiculed by the media and those outside the church. Moral authority? Gone.
and also politics. one church where i live is supposedly run on politics.moral authority and respect is gone. what you wrote is true trailblazer.
I rotate between 4 different churches one Episcopalian, 2 Catholic and one Protestant. I don't have any "numbers" but they all seem to have very active Sunday schools ..CDC...,the same sizes as when I was a kid. And the churches are full on Sundays ,except the Protestant, which is about 1/2 full which it has been for 22 years I've been going there....Just an observation
Trail - You make a good point. Sunday school was a nice place for me to learn about my faith. Now, it seems that Christian Rock concerts trumps Bible stories.
margie - You make a good point about politics in the church.
also what was our country founded on? family, religion, and surviving. it is a shame to see how our country has gone down. it will never be the same. people act as though they don't have enough time or are lost looking for something that still exists but can't find it. to many temtations, that were oked by people who wanted an easier way of living, and anti americans.
margie - you make a good point.
