COLUMBUS, Ohio — Some supporters of the Democratic presidential campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton are angry at what they see as gender bias against the New York senator, and they are threatening to support Republican John McCain if Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination.
Cynthia Ruccia is an organizer of a national group called Clinton Supporters Count, Too. Ruccia, who was once a Democratic candidate for an Ohio congressional seat, said that Democratic Party leaders have failed to take Obama and his supporters to task for sexist comments directed against Clinton, ONN's Stephanie Mennecke reported."We feel very strongly that the party has thrown us under the bus and disrespected us, and we want to send a message to the party to say we are not going to put up with that treatment," Ruccia said.
